Jewel Richardson, 74, of Union City passed away 6:08 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, at AHC-Union City.
Funeral services were held 1 p.m. today at First Church of God in Union City. Brother Ron Gray officiated. Burial followed in East View Cemetery.
Visitation was held at the church from 11 a.m. until the hour of services.
Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Jewel was born Aug. 16, 1947, in Obion County, daughter of the late Coleman Porter and Florence Lee (Hubbs) Mealer. She was a member of First Church of God and had been employed at Carl’s Furniture in Union City.
She is survived by two daughters, Tina Hodge and Emily Richardson, both of Union City; one granddaughter, Alivia Webb of Union City; one great-granddaughter, Aurora Jade Witten of Union City; two sisters, Bessie Gathings of Kenton and Betty Webb and her husband, Harold, of Obion; one brother, Porter Mealer of Nashville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Nancy Langley, Annie Lou Mabry, Loretta Lynn Mealer and Minnie Pearl Powell.
