LIGHTS OF HOPE

LIGHTS OF HOPE — A big part of Obion County Hometown Walk of Hope’s event every year is the special illumination of the Lights of Hope, which are placed in memory or in honor of cancer patients. Instead of the traditional bag, sand and tea candles, this year’s Lights of Hope will be displayed on cardstock and will be strung with patio lights at the Obion County Fairgrounds. The Lights of Hope will be illuminated at 9 p.m. on Saturday. Recently working on a test run of how they will be displayed were Courtney Blackwell (left) of Union City, who is a member of Team Leaders Credit Union, and Walk of Hope executive director Lorraine Jones. Saturday’s event will run from 3-11 p.m.
