Brenda Kay Riley Crowell, age 69, of Hornbeak passed away Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021, at Memphis Regional One.
Funeral services were to be held today, with visitation from 11 a.m. until the hour of services at White-Mahon Funeral Home in Troy. Billy Crowell was to officiate. Burial was to follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Pallbearers were to be Richard Baggett, Donald Pollack, Jerry Ray Walford, Frankie Blackley, Jordan Riffe and Andrew Nelson.
Mrs. Brenda was born in Tiptonville on Aug. 26, 1952, to the late Buster and Lueveney Knight Riley. She married the late Paul Crowell Sr. Mrs. Brenda worked for Salant & Salant in Obion. She was known as being a very hard worker, loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Angelia K. Hodge and her husband, Dewayne, of Hornbeak; two sons, Paul Crowell Jr. and his wife, Angela, and Edmond Crowell, all of Hornbeak; two brothers, Larry Riley of Hornbeak and William Riley of Newbern; one sister, Carrie Kiddy of Elbridge; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, James A. Riley, Johnny Howard Riley and Tommy Riley; and four sisters, Margie Riley, Elizabeth “Lizzy” Wilson, Viola Erwin and Maybel Brown.
