SMALL WORLD — Patt Barker glued legs onto one of the miniature tables she was making recently in the studio at her home. The Hornbeak resident has always had a fascination with shadow boxes, dollhouses and miniatures, but it wasn’t until just over a year ago that she started making miniatures herself. She draws inspiration from the late Rossie Kirkland, who established her own miniature world in Union City in the late 1920s with her Dolly Dear Accessories manufacturing company. Mrs. Barker now makes items upon request for a market across the country.
