POWER OF PRAYER — A crowd of about 300 gathered for a prayer vigil Monday night in the gymnasium at Obion County Central High School in Troy, where local pastors shared scripture and led in prayer amid the search for two 15-year-old members of the school’s fishing team and a parent chaperone who disappeared at a weekend fishing tournament at Pickwick Lake in Hardin County. During the prayer vigil, those in attendance left their seats in the stands and gathered around the fishing team members for a special time of prayer. It was followed by the singing of “Amazing Grace.” Among those who shared scripture and prayed were Tony Jones, youth and music minister at Troy First Baptist Church; Dan Huggins, pastor of the Refuge Church in Union City; and Robin Rotgers, pastor of Greater Vision Church in Troy. OCCHS principal Barry Kendall and Obion County Director of Schools Tim Watkins also shared brief thoughts.

My prayers are for peace with finding your boys. God is a mighty God and loves you and your family without any reservations and if we don’t understand this tragerdy, in your heart, you are not alone, your angels are there to comfort you. Know that you will see them again. A Mom
