Services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, located at 500 Mears St. in Fulton, with minister Donna Hawkins officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jessie Johnson and the Rev. Anthony Johnson.
Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Fulton.
Visitation will be held at the church from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday.
Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home in Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Willie Brown III, Blake Roach, Ed Thrap, Jeff Vaughn, Craig Smith, Harry Hutcherson, Antonio Wills, Farrell McNeal and Darryl McNeal.
He was born Oct. 26, 1955, in Fulton, son of the late Joseph Bryant “J.B.” Patton Sr. and Blanchie Gwendola Jackson Patton. He was a licensed and ordained minister. He graduated from Fulton High School and from the electrical department of West Kentucky Vocational School in Paducah. He was a retired security officer for Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Ill.
He is survived by two daughters, Kelley S. Patton of Little Rock, Ark., and Tia N. Patton of Plainfield, Ill.; two sons, Joseph Bryant Patton III and Tristan Ball, both of Joliet; two grandchildren, Mya Nicole Williams and Josiah Bryant Patton; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, William and Deloris Kelly of Antioch, LinRico Nikita and Charlotte Patton of Union City and Jay Brion Patton of Wartburg; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Melba Felice and Reginald Roberson of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Lazetta Suzette Patton of South Fulton.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, James E. Patton.
