Services were set for 3 p.m. today at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Barry Keathley officiating. Burial was to follow in East View Cemetery.
Grandsons were to serve as pallbearers.

She was born Jan. 21, 1932, in Elton, Ky., daughter of the late Silas Walter and Katherine (Dew) Gorrell. She married R.J. Traverse June 14, 1952. He died June 19, 2000. She had been a waitress and was a member of Union City Second Baptist Church and the Jones-Walker Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary. She was an avid bowler and loved baseball and watching her sons and daughter play.
She is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Duane and Lisa Traverse of Dyersburg, Bill and Gayna Traverse of Pinson, Dan and Jennifer Traverse of White Bluff, Mike and Dianne Traverse of Troy and Keith Traverse of Nashville; her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Albert Wright of Union City; 12 grandchildren and the spouse of one, Kyle Traverse and John Traverse, both of La Vergne, Will Traverse of Nashville, Jasmine Wilson of Pinson, B.J. and Jenny Traverse of Kingston Springs, Olivia Traverse and Chase Traverse, both of White Bluff, Jason Traverse and Randi Kincade, both of Troy, Windy Wright and Brian Wright, both of Union City, and Whitney Reynolds of Dyersburg; nine great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Howard Gorrell of Elton, Ky., Billy Gorrell of Grand Island, N.Y., and Terry Gorrell of Russellville, Ky.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers and a great-grandchild.
