Memorial graveside services will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, at Sanders Chapel Cemetery near Union City. Pastor Paul Ray Cagle will officiate.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at First United Pentecostal Church in Union City.
Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Johnny was born March 29, 1955, in Union City. He was the son of the late James Elbert and Catherine Elizabeth (Long) Sanders. He attended the former Rives Elementary and graduated from Obion County Central High School in 1973. He was a member of Sanders Chapel United Methodist Church. He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic in various places in the Obion County area. He enjoyed the outdoors like gardening, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his daughter, Jonna Sanders of Union City; his son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Amy Sanders of Union City; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Kay and T. Hill of Union City; Phylis and Paul Keith of the Nashville area and Jane and Jimmy Ross of Union City; his sister-in-law, Gloria Sanders of Union City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Edward Sanders.
