Rosie Harris

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Union City First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Clay Holiday officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel in Union City.
She was born Nov. 8, 1948, in Obion County to the late Noble and Booker Lee Mitchell Sr. She attended the former Miles High School, was employed at Martin Manufacturing, the former Salant & Salant and the former Gurien Finishing and at Wal-Mart. She was a member of Brown Chapel AME Church, where she served as an usher and a member of the Missionary Society.
She was married to Billy Joe Harris of Union City, who survives.
She is also survived by two daughters and her son-in-law, Tekita Brooks of Union City and Cheryl and Jeff Reeves of Jackson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick and Pam Mitchell of Jackson and Henry and Deanne Brooks of Cookeville; three stepdaughters and their husbands, Brenneta and Eddie Reames of Memphis, Cassandra and Clyde Vaughn of Trenton and Banbetta Bryson of Milan; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Joan Moffatt, Mary Coble, Dianne Eskew, Brenda Mitchell and Linda Mitchell, all of Union City; two brothers, Dwayne Mitchell of Union City and Robert Mitchell of Milwaukee; and a host of nieces and nephews.
