Danny Simon

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Archie Larry officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Church Cemetery near Pilot Oak, Ky.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Sunday.
Pallbearers will be David Williams, Jeff Boyd, Bill Paschall, Steven Morris, Pat Worrell, Cat Lee and Barry Cranford.
Honorary pallbearers will be Marcus Fennel, William Vickers, Charles Cliff and Mike Crowell.
He was born Jan. 10, 1949, in Fulton, son of the late Tommy Simon and the late Lucille (Stark) Powers. He was a retired independent contractor and was a member of Jones-Walker Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4862. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam and was of the Church of Christ faith.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Jeff Boyd; his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Delana Simon; their mother, Marcella Simon; three grandchildren, Kahlea Boyd, Blake Boyd and Kattie Simon, all of Union City. He is also survived by three step-grandchildren, Shayla Schramer, Shayna Wix and Jeremiah Maynard, all of Pilot Oak; his sister, Sheila Worrell of Lake County; five nieces and nephews, Cindy Cole Cornwell, Lisa Cole Mohr, Eddie Cole, Michelle Morris and Chris Milton; and his aunt, Kay Swift.
He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, O.B. “Boots” Powers; and his brother, Edward Cole.
