Wilma Holland
Mrs. Wilma Zell Holland, 86, of Union City passed away 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Larry Hitesman and Brother James Kinsey will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Billy Butler and Mrs. Holland’s grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.
Mrs. Holland was born Sept. 21, 1928, in Bedford, Ark., daughter of the late William Wyatt and Lena (Patrick) Bruce. She married James F. Holland Sr. on May 2, 1974. He died June 3, 1992.
Mrs. Holland had been employed at the former Salant & Salant in Union City and Troy. She and her late husband were the owners and operators of the former Little Dixie and The Dixie Barn, both in Union City, for many years. She was a member of Sunswept Baptist Church in Union City.
She is survived by one son, John D. McBride Jr. of Union City; and three grandchildren, Matthew McBride of Millington, Patrick McBride of Memphis and Selena McBride of Paris.
She was also preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
