Billy Joe Isbell

Joseph William “Billy Joe” Isbell, 83, of Union City died July 9, 2015, at Caris Healthcare in Dyersburg.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home. The Rev. Rick Burton will officiate and burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be Guy Hansford, Conner Hansford, Mark Stone, Mike Hampton, Tommy Mathis, Gerald Scarbrough, Bill Hutchison and Danny Isbell. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Gray and Jim Green.
The family requests memorials be made to Woodland Mills First Baptist Church.
He was born Nov. 10, 1931, in Memphis, son of the late Joe Newt Isbell and Katherine (Prather) Isbell. He married the former Bonnie Sue Chadwick on April 13, 1958, and she survives.
A U.S. Air Force veteran, he was a farmer and a member of Woodland Mills First Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Guy Hansford of Dyersburg; a sister, Jane Stone of Memphis; and two grandchildren, Conner Hansford and Ali Hansford, both of Dyersburg.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, David Isbell.
