George Robinett Jr.

George Randal Robinett Jr., 73, of Union City passed away 6:40 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.
Mr. Robinett was born Dec. 6, 1941, in Miami, Okla., son of the late George Randal Robinett Sr. and the late Barbara (Paden) Ashbrook. He married the former Jo Ann Roach July 17, 1961. She survives. Mr. Robinett retired after 33 years of service with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Gage, Ky., and attended Second Baptist Church in Union City.
He is also survived by his daughter, Heather Rodgers of Union City; two sons and his daughter-in-law, Randy Robinett of Tupelo, Miss., and Jeremy and Anne Robinett of Birmingham, Ala.; and six granddaughters, Morgan Rodgers and Avery Rodgers, both of Union City, Lacey Robinett of Tupelo, and Lily Robinett, Sylvie Robinett and Ada Robinett, all of Birmingham.
He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Jake Rodgers; and two brothers, Phillip Ashbrook and Terry Robinett.
