Richard Perkins

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Tiptonville First Baptist Church, with the Revs. Eddie Wilbanks and John Troutman officiating. Burial will follow in Tiptonville City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. today at the church.
White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Joe England, Cameron Mills, Zach Best, Tim Best, Bryan Avery, Jeff Mills, Jason Tubbs, Mike Hamra and Robert Vaughn. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael W. Moore, Jimmy Moore Jr., Tony Tyler, Jay Warlick, Steve Jones and Dennis Chism.
The family requests that memorials be made to Tiptonville First Baptist Church.
He was born July 13, 1941, in Fulton County, Ky., son of the late Edgar Richard and Zenewee (Thomas) Perkins. He married the former Edna Ann Jackson May 17, 1968. She survives. He had been a probation officer for the State of Tennessee and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam conflict.
He was a member of Tiptonville First Baptist Church for 30 years and had coached Little League and Babe Ruth baseball. He was also a member of the Lake County High School Booster Club.
He is survived by his wife; two sons and his daughter-in-law, Daryl and Karen Perkins and Mark Perkins, all of Tiptonville; two step-grandsons, Zachary Best of Manchester and Tim Best of Tiptonville; his great-granddaughter, Annabelle Leigh Best of Manchester; his brother and sister-in-law, Herman and Bess Perkins of Memphis; and his sister, Barbara Dunlap of Southaven, Miss.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, R.C. Perkins; and two sisters, Opal Wilbanks and Jane Delarosa.
