Services were set for 12:30 p.m. today at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Johnny Bruff officiating. Burial was to follow in East View Cemetery.
Pallbearers were to be John Donnell, Gerald Donnell, Jackson Donnell, Devin King, Michael Paul Miller and Rick Wilson. Honorary pallbearers were to be members of the Hardee’s Coffee Club and Annette Gearin.

He was born Jan. 12, 1924, in Rives, son of the late Thomas Leslie and Winnie (Woody) Shore. He married the former Mary Ann Moss March 14, 1951. She died Sept. 29, 1985. He then married the former Bernice McCord April 14, 1989. She survives.
He was a retired employee of the Tennessee Department of Education in Nashville, where he worked for 26 years. He had also served as superintendent of schools for Obion County from 1953-58 and for Union City Schools from 1958-62.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, having served in World War II, and was a member of Exchange Street Church of Christ.
He is also survived by three daughters, Beth Shore of Jackson and Ann Cross and Caroline Shore, both of Nashville; his granddaughter, Lesley Ann Cross of Denver; three stepchildren, John Donnell of Germantown, Gerald Donnell of Union City and Celeste King of Union City; four step-grandchildren, Elizabeth Miller, Paige Fisher, Jackson Donnell and Devin King, all of Union City; and a step-great-granddaughter, Molly Grace Miller of Union City.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Doris Shore; and his stepdaughter, Jacqueline Stanley.
