She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Forest and Kathleen Wells and Harry and Elizabeth Finney.
She was a faithful member of  Life Point Baptist Church in Smyrna and served her community as an elementary teacher for the Bedford County School system. She was one of the fortunate ones to have her hobby as her profession because of her great love for her students.
She was a fiercely devoted mother, wife, daughter, teacher and friend, who had a strong will and determination and carefully laid plans to complete any task at hand.
Along with her parents, Jennifer is survived by her husband of 16 years, Britt Barnes, who is a former resident of this area; her children, Liam Barnes and Chloe Barnes, both of Smyrna; and her brother; Scott Wells of Shelbyville.
