Bernice Coleman

Services were set for 3 p.m. today at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin, with the Rev. John Blackwell and Vince Thompson officiating. Burial was to follow in East Side Cemetery in Martin.
Pallbearers were to be her grandsons and great-grandsons.
She was born Sept. 8, 1922, in Obion, daughter of the late Walter and Edith May (Madding) Lyons. She was the widow of J.C. Coleman and was retired from Martin Manufacturing Co. She was a member of Mount Pelia Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Nola Coleman of Martin, Dennis and Becky Coleman of Dyersburg and J.C. “Jackie” and Mary Coleman of Union City; three daughters and her son-in-law, Ann and Vinson Thompson of Obion and Ruth Coleman and Donna Mobbs, both of Martin; and 10 grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her grandson, John Coleman.
