Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Cryer Funeral Home in Obion, with Rick Knoll officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Obion.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Gary Rudd, Barry McDaniel, Ethan Rudd, Austin Rudd, Troy Fitzgerald, Jeremy Sanford, Scott Clanton and Terry Dunevant. Honorary pallbearers will be Carol Charlton, Steve Smith, Alan Jordan, Tom Hopkins and Terry Ledbetter.
The family requests that memorials be made to Baptist Hospice, 1201 Bishop St., Union City, TN 38261.
He was born Jan. 23, 1945, in Portland, Maine, son of the late Edward and Dorothy (Brady) Doucette. He was a forklift driver for the former Quebecor World in Dyersburg and was a member of Obion Church of Christ. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam conflict, he was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Doucette; his daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Barry McDaniel of Obion; his stepdaughter and son-in-law, Laurie and Troy Fitzgerald of Martin; his brother, Lawrence Edward Doucette of Leemore, Calif.; his sister, Maria Oncale of Bridgeton, Maine; four grandchildren, Ethan Rudd and Austin Rudd, both of Troy, and Mandi McDaniel and Maci McDaniel, both of Obion; and his son-in-law, Gary Rudd of Troy.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Vickie Rudd; and his first wife, Elaine (Wright) Doucette.
