Charles Castleman
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Revs. Damon Duck and Terry Presson officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery near Union City.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be M.D. Presson, Matt Presson, Chad Eason, Jason Shirley, Caleb Castleman, Andrew Douglas, Kyler Shirley, Brian McDaniel and Chris Douglas.
The family requests that memorials be made to Shady Grove Cemetery Association, in care of Kay Bransford, 3221 Section Line Road, Union City, TN 38261.
He was born Sept. 1, 1926, in Weakley County, son of the late Henry and Odie (Hazelwood) Castleman. He married the former Charline Hill April l2, 1947. She survives. He was a retired mechanic for the former Obion County Implement Co. and was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
He is also survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Faye and Norman McDaniel and Ann and Ronnie Douglas, all of Union City, Phyllis and Terry Presson of Selmer and Joyce and John Ruble of Hornbeak; his son and daughter-in-law, Leonard and Brenda Castleman of Boone’s Mill, Va.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Sue Wilson, Mary Elizabeth Clark and Martha Wright, all of Michigan, and Benan Parks of Martin; and his brother, James Castleman of Martin.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Hershell Castleman, Cary Castleman and William Castleman.
