Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Campground Cemetery near Troy, with the Rev. Jerry Leggett officiating.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy.
Pallbearers will be Bo Korn, Wayne Storey, Jeff Rudd, Steve Huey, Greg Huey and Chad Bennett.
He was born Jan. 26, 1940, in Hornbeak, son of the late Charles and Mary (Davis) Rudd. He married the former Zora Mae Butler Jan. 14, 1958. She died July 19, 2014.
He was the owner and operator of the former David L. Rudd Trucking Inc. and the former KS&D Logging Inc. and was a member of Troy First Baptist Church. He was also an avid drag car racer and had been recognized as the oldest driver on the track in Dyersburg.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Kenneth Hood of Obion and Sherry and Kevin Dunn of Troy; his son and daughter-in-law, David and Sherry Rudd of Troy; nine granddaughters, Crystal Gibson, Shayanne Green, Livvy Hood, Jennifer Spicer, Leah Korn, Ashley Dunn, Katie Rudd, Rebecca Rudd and Chasity Rhodes; three grandsons, Bo Korn, Justin Dunn and Tyler Trull; 13 great-grandchildren; his sister, Helen Storey of Troy; and his brother, Charles Rudd of Troy.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Norma Huey; and three brothers, Sonny Davis, Sammy Rudd and Robbie Rudd.
