Fred Collier

Funeral services were set for 11 a.m. today at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton, with interment following there in Pleasant View Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
He was a founding member and former elder of Smith Street Church of Christ and was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in World War II. He was a brakeman for the Illinois Central Railroad and was also a retired farmer. He had lived in this area all his life.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara (McAlister) Collier; three sons and daughters-in-law Bobby and Rosa Collier of Glenwood Springs, Colo., Kelly and Jeannie Collier of Knoxville and Wes and Tina Collier of South Fulton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sally and Robert Floyd of Water Valley, Ky., and Mary Lynn and Russell Cooley of Fulton; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and his sister, Joan Dowdy of South Fulton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Dean Collier and Mary Lorelle (Boaz) Collier.
