Billy Murray

A memorial service was held Feb. 12, at David’s Chapel Baptist Church, with Bro. Charles Southerland officiating.
He was born June 16, 1939, son of the late Luther and Vera (Adams) Murray. He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the American Legion Post No. 57 in Hickman and a member of the Hickman Rotary Club.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Yvetta Murray; his children, Vanessia Mercado of Bartlett, Teri Rembecky of Upland, Calif., Jennifer McCown of Canada, Twona Reed of Draffenville, Ky., Elizabeth Ray of Nashville and Michael Murray of Murray, Ky.; 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; his brother, John K. Murray of Hickman; and four sisters, Gladyes Crittenden of Hickman, Inez Hicks of Dyersburg, Pat McCullough of Union City and Betty Clark of Seattle.
Two brothers, James Murray and Robert Murray; two sisters, Mary Hobbs and Judy Murray; and an infant daughter, Amanda Murray, also preceded him in death.
