Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Hickman City Cemetery. Brother Henry Callison will officiate.
There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the services.
Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
Edmaiston-Mosley Fun-eral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hamil was born Nov. 14, 1958, in Hickman, son of the late Ethelbert and Mary Susie (Jones) Hamil. He married the former Tina Stotts Aug. 17, 1979. She survives. Mr. Hamil had been employed with Elks Brothers Construction in Hickman and attended David’s Chapel Baptist Church.
He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Alicia Hamil of Hickman; two grandchildren, Thomas Hamil and Autumn Hamil, both of Hickman; five brothers, Ethelbert Hamil Jr. and Donald Hamil, both of Hickman, Benjamin Guy Hamil of Tiptonville, Phillip Hamil of Union City and Delbert Damons of Dyersburg; and his sister, Nadine Poole of Youngsville, N.C.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly Hamil; and his brother, Jimmie Doughtey.
