Ken Forbis

Ken is interned at the National Cemetery in Dixon, Calif.
Ken was born May 18, 1935, in Union City. He served honorably with the 511th Airborne for three years as a radio operator, a portion of this time was spent in Germany. He received the National Defense service medal, parachutist badge and good conduct medal.
Ken had many interests: his collections of antiques and his love of classical music and the art of both Roman and Greek cultures, plus the architecture of that time in history.
Ken was predeceased by his mother, Doris Thornton Forbis Salter, and father, John David Forbis, both of whom were born in Union City.
He is survived by two sisters, Bettye J. (Forbis) Jensen and Charlene (Salter) Welch; his brother, Philip Salter; plus many nieces and nephews, many of whom reside in California.
