Memorial services for Mrs. Smith will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Tiptonville First United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Marita Burkeen. Music will be provided by Dianne Homra.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Interment will be at New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely at a later date. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Claudia was a native of Tiptonville. She was born Nov. 22, 1947, in Tiptonville to Davy Burnett and Fred Robertson, who preceded her in death. Her son, Fred Robertson Smith, also preceded her in death.
She was an artist and had worked several years at Reelfoot Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of Tiptonville First United Methodist Church and a member of the First United Methodist Women’s organization.
Claudia exhibited her paintings at venues in West Tennessee. She continued to paint until her health prevented her from doing so. One of her favorite subjects was scenes of Reelfoot Lake. Recently she donated a painting to the Reelfoot Lake visitor’s center and the Tiptonville Public Library.
She graduated from Lake County High School in 1964. Mrs. Peggy Burrus of Tiptonville gave her art lessons when she was in high school. She attended Murray State University in Kentucky and Transylvania University in Lexington, Ky.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Othal Smith III and Donna Smith of Calvert City, Ky., and David Fredrick  and Leah Smith of Minton, N.D.; and two grandchildren, Mary Olivia Smith and Austin Trey Smith, both of Calvert City. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Fredricka and Dr. Grover Schleifer of Union City; and two nieces and the spouse of one, Davy Virginia and Warren Rainey of Huntingdon and Fredrica Rebecca Schleifer of Tampa, Fla.
