Rodney Truett

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home, with Bro. Carl Southerland officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery near Troy.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Billy Isbell, Shawn Strickland, Paul Truett, Alan Norris, Shawn Serrett and Blake Jordan.
He was born Nov. 2, 1935, in Lake County, son of the late Herbert Lexie and Maudie Mozell (Rodgers) Truett. He was a U.S. Army veteran and had been a truck driver and a mechanic.
He is survived by two sons and his daughter-in-law, Pepper Truett of Troy and Rodney and Deborah Truett of Kenton; seven grandchildren, Josh Truett of the Minnick community, Jacob Willnow of Trenton, Samantha Littrell of Bradford, Austin Conway of Kenton and Ashley Truett, Blake Truett and Dalton Truett, all of Troy; his brother, Bill Truett of Denham Springs, La.; two sisters, Gale Armes of Rives and Dr. Bonnie Serrett of Huntsville, Ala.; and two great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Rogers Wade Truett; his sister, Lola Frances Vandiver; and his daughter-in-law, Cindy Truett.
