Homer Orr

Services will be noon Tuesday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday at the funeral home. Jeff Bell and Wilford Mobley will officiate. Burial will follow in Troy’s Terrace Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lowell Grooms, Joe Johnson, Larry Porch, Jeff Jackson, Daniel Huey, Tootsie Parker, Mike Wilson, Guy Walker Gray, Bill Garrett and Wesley Jackson.
The family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
He was born Jan. 14, 1937, in Obion County, son of the late Willie B. and Mary Nell (Williams) Orr. He was married to the former Betty Mayse June 14, 1958. She survives.
He had been employed at the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Union City for 29 years and was a member of Bishop Street Church of Christ.
He is also survived by two sons, Ricky Allen Orr of Troy and Steven Orr of Gadsden, Ala.; his sister, Faye Vaughn of Nesbitt, Miss.; two granddaughters, Hailey Brooke Orr and Demi Blaire Orr, both of Troy; his sister-in-law, Arline Orr of Tiptonville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Elva Mayse; his granddaughter, Stevie Grace Orr; two brothers, Ralph Orr and Jack Orr; and his sister, Martha Taylor.
