James Henry Green

Services were set for 11 a.m. today at White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy, with Dr. Bobby Williams officiating. Burial was to follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy.
Pallbearers were to be Rusty Reed, Lummy Flowers, Ralph Moore, Gene Clark, Ron Baker and Carl Gatewood. Honorary pallbearers were to be Marvin Burkeen, Gerald Moon, Bobby Johnson and Carnie Lovett.
The family requests that memorials be made to Main Street Church of Christ in Troy or the Ronald McDonald House in Nashville.
He was born Feb. 1, 1929, in Weakley County, son of the late Marshall and Georgia Mae (Turner) Green. He married the former Frances Evelyn Wheat June 15, 1957. She survives. He had worked for the former American Metals/Lear Siegler in Union City for 23 years and then went to work for 17 years at the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Union City. He was a member of the Tennessee National Guard and of Troy’s Main Street Church of Christ. He had been a Master Mason for more than 50 years in the Gleason lodge.
He is also survived by two sons and his daughter-in-law, Phillip Green of Troy and Dennis and Brenda Green of Brentwood; his grandson, Logan Green of Brentwood; two sisters and his brother-in-law, Margaret Perry of Nashville and Doris and Howard Wiggins of Sedalia, Ky.; and two brothers and his sister-in-law, Joe and Marie Green of Lansing, Mich., and Turner Green of Benton, Ky.
He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Laura Green.
