Thomas H. Cary

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
He was born June 29, 1933, in Lexington, son of the late Alvin and Martha Beatrice (Moore) Cary. He married the former JoAnn Wadley on May 25, 1956. She survives. He was an electrician with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. for 13 years and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where he did mission work with the men’s Brotherhood of the church. A member of the steelworkers union, he was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is also survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Celeste and Darrell Brock and Robyn and Tim Doyle, all of Union City, Laura Martindale of Jackson and Lisa and Joe Watkins of Knoxville; his son, Brent Cary of Union City; 10 grandchildren and their spouses, Cary (Brock) and Rodney Speed, Alyssa (Brock) and David Sanders, Joe Brent and Robbie Cary, Lee Ann Cary, Bart and Mandy Doyle, Emily Doyle, Knox Chapman, Tanner Chapman, David Watkins and Cameron Watkins; six great-grandchildren, Hayden Cary, Heath Cary, Hadleigh Cary, Hanyn Cary, Hartleigh Cary and Reagan Speed; two brothers and his sister-in-law, Hershel Cary of Lexington and Jack and Marlene Cary of Wildersville; his nephew; and three nieces.
