He developed his interest in business and worked in sales and management in Tennessee, North Carolina, Florida, Louisiana and Illinois. His was an American story of a young farm boy working hard and rising to become president of an accounting company. He served his country in the National Guard and was a loving, supportive family man.
He would tell stories of revival meetings he attended with his grandparents that were so memorable to him. As he approached the end of his life, he would sing his favorite hymns in every room of the house. He was known to fall asleep listening to them at night.
