James Scott

There will be a viewing from 3-5 p.m. Tuesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home.
He was born Jan. 25, 1946, in Tiptonville, son of the late James and Edith Lavelle (Estes) Scott. He married the former Barbara Paulette Levering Nov. 5, 1966. She survives.
 He had worked for Sherwin-Williams in Baltimore as a supervisor for packaging and filling for 30 years and was a carrell carver who had worked at Discovery Park of America.
He is survived by his wife; his son, Brian Scott of Union City; four sisters, Barbara Fox of Washington state, Alice Hardy of Union City and  Mary Warthen and Connie Bogdan, both of Baltimore; his brother, Glenn Scott of Baltimore; his half brother, James Chessor of Centerville; and his grandson, Jesse Scott of Union City.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Bobby Jean Wiseman; and his son, James Scott Jr.
