Pierce Criswell

He was born on June 9, 1921, in Obion County to the late Lee and Clidy Criswell. He married Rebecca Guynn in 1942. Pierce served as a Seabee in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a lifelong farmer who enjoyed fishing on Reelfoot Lake and looking for hidden treasures with his metal detector. Pierce was also a dedicated member of the Church of Christ.
Pierce is survived by his son, James Robert (Rose) Criswell; by sisters, Margie Revell, Grace Rambo and Rosemarie (Ilar) Warren; brother, Dietzel (Janette) Criswell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pierce was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca; his sister, Bea Brandon; and his brother, David Criswell
A viewing will be held at Cryer Funeral Home in Obion at 11 a.m. on Saturday. The funeral will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, with the burial immediately following.
