Fred Oslund

The family will receive friends at White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m.
He was born June 12, 1944, in Akron, Ohio, son of the late Fred Oscar and Virginia Isabel (Weinsteiger) Oslund. He married Donna Lou Hogue Aug. 26, 1994. She survives. He was a retired maintenance worker for the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Union City, where he worked for 35 years. He also retired as a maintenance worker for Hillcrest School in Troy. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Dyersburg, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4862 and a member of United Steelworkers.
He is also survived by his daughter, Kathy Oslund of Akron; two stepsons and their spouses, Kevin and Kayce Jones of Union City and Andy and Elizabeth Terry of Dillon, S.C.; five grandchildren, Landon Jones, Spencer Terry, Reece Terry, AmyCaroline Terry and Victoria Stump.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Oslund; his stepdaughter, Amy Terry; and a sister.
