Billy Baxter
Services for Mr. Baxter will be 11 a.m. Friday at Cayce Baptist Church in Cayce, Ky. Brother Michael Farmer and Brother Dale True will officiate. Burial will follow in Hickman (Ky.) City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Cayce Baptist Church 5-8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Friday.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Baxter was born Aug. 25, 1942, in Big Buck, son of the late John William and Mary Edna (Neal) Baxter. He married the former Donna Forsythe Dec. 8, 1979. She survives. Mr. Baxter was a logger for Baxter Logging Co., which he owned for 45 years. He was also a member of Cayce Baptist Church and was a Gideon and a Tennessee Master Logger.
He is also survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Kim Yeater and Kathi and Tony Lattus, all of Hickman, Karen Wheeler of North Fort Myers, Fla., and Amy and Blane Malone of Fulton; his son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Joyce Terrett of Cayce; his brother, James Paul Baxter of Trezevant; two sisters, Betty Dorris of Hendersonville and Elizabeth Spellings of Huntingdon; his brother-in-law, Robert Forsythe of Georgetown, Ky.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Kyle Major Malone.
