Betty Jo Johnson

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Kinsey officiating. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Larry Joe Johnson Sr., Larry Joe Johnson Jr., Tab Hunter Johnson, Gary Hutchison, George Gibson and Doug Weaver.
The family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis or Jones-Walker Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4862 in Union City.
She was born Oct. 28, 1930, in Paducah, Ky., daughter of the late George and Nancy Bernice (Bunn) Allen. She married Tommy Jesse Johnson in 1952 and he died in 1986. She had been employed at the former Reelfoot Packing Co., and the former Brown Shoe Co., and had also been employed by Kroger.
She was a member of Union City Second Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry Joe and Cynthia Johnson of Union City; two grandsons and the spouse of one, Larry Joe Johnson Jr. and Melissa Johnson of Union City and Tab Hunter Johnson of Martin; her sister, Emily Conner of Union City; two great-grandchildren, Andy Johnson and Emily Johnson, both of Union City; several nieces and nephews; and her cousin, Bernice Evelyn Florence of Union City.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Harry Johnson and Johnny Johnson; and two sisters, Jane Eddlemon and Mickie Vickers.
