Dorris Ransom

Services will be 3 p.m. Friday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Darrell Hoffman, Jay Sellers and Matthew Hoffman officiating. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from noon until the hour of services Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Mike Hoffman, Matthew Hoffman, Jonathan Tolley, Kevin Jones, Shane Hoff-man and Bobby Ransom. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. M.A. Blanton, Dr. Phillip Sherman, Dr. Sam Meredith, Danny Isbell and Glenn Rudd.
Mrs. Ransom was born Nov. 8, 1937, in Obion County, daughter of the late Chester and Vonnie (Quinn) Hoffman. She married J.A. Ransom April 15, 1953. He survives. She was a medical assistant for Dr. M.A. Blanton for 31 years and was a member of New Hope Bible Church near Union City.
She is also survived by two daughters and her son-in-law, Kathy Ransom of Union City and Daphie and Walt Sellers of North Charleston, S.C.; two grandchildren and the spouse of one, Daniel Jay and Ashley Sellers of Canonsburg, Pa., and Nicole Sellers of North Charleston; her sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Ray Tolley of Samburg; her brother and sister-in-law, the Rev.Darrell and Carla Hoffman of the Shawtown community; and two sisters-in-law, Rebecca (Mays) Hoffman of Hornbeak and Margaret (Ransom) Hoffman of Union City.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Hoffman and Charles Hoffman.
