Brian Schmidt

Brian was born the second of five siblings in the home of his maternal grandparents on March 10, 1953, in Sleepy Eye, Minn., to Shirley Wandersee and Lester Schmidt. He grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis, was married and had a daughter before moving to Dayton, Iowa. There he met and married Roxanne Kreimar. They had recently moved to Union City in order to be closer to his sister.
Brian was a loving and devoted father and husband, a hard working jack-of-all trades, musician, prankster, creative and generous spirit. He will be greatly missed.
Brian was a Lutheran and is survived by his daughter, Tekla Schmidt of Welches, Ore.; his wife, Roxanne Kreimar of Union City; his sister, Brenda Bugg of Union City; and his brothers, Bradley Schmidt of Winterset, Iowa, Barry Schmidt of Springfield, Neb., and Brent Schmidt of Coon Rapids, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
