Mary Virginia Woods

Services were set for 11 a.m. today at Crockett Chapel United Methodist Church with Brother Jimmy Calhoun and the Rev. Marita Burkeen officiating. Burial will be in Crockett Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers were to be Glenn Rogers, Todd Rogers, Brent Rogers, Donnie York, Keith Bates and Jerry Simmons. Honorary pallbearers were to be Eddie Cain and Wayne Burkeen.
Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
She was retired from the Tennessee Department of Corrections. Mrs. Woods was a faithful member of Crockett Chapel United Methodist Church and a member of the Women’s Missionary Society. She formerly owned City Fish Market in Paris.
Survivors include her daughter, Miss Martha Jean Woods of Tiptonville; her daughter-in-law, Sarah Woods of Tiptonville; her granddaughter, Autumn Leigh Woods; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos B. Woods; her son, Bobby Woods; her parents, James and Lassie Elizabeth (Sharp) Rogers; and her brother, Gordon Rogers.
