Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Union City. The Rev. Robert Ponticello will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Quinton, Larry Thompson, Paul Thompson, Jay Cloar, David Cloar, Robert Cooper and Jarred Holtzclaw. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Sharon was born May 31, 1958, in Chicago, daughter of the late Glen Howard and Sonia Elizabeth (Probinzanski) Mathis. She married Michael Wayne Thompson April 26, 2004. He survives. Sharon was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith.
She is also survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Beverly Mathis of Newbern; her daughter, Angie LeBron of Troy; her stepdaughter, Aimee (Thompson) Cheatham of Union City; three brothers, Ronald Mathis of Centralia, Ill., and Robert Mathis and Terry Mathis, both of Georgia; her sister, Sandra Porter of Troy; five grandchildren, Pablo Salas, Nikolas Salas, Mariah LeBron, Neveah Bell and Elecia Bell; and two step-grandchildren, Madikate Cheatham and Coleman Cheatham.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Salas.
