Dorthy Lewis

Services were set for 1 p.m. today at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Carl Thomas Lewis officiating. Burial was to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Union City. Her grandsons and great-grandsons were to serve as pallbearers.
She was born June 5, 1925, in Hickman, Ky., daughter of the late Carl Thomas and Otis Ardell (Janes) Smith. She married James Edward Lewis Sr. Feb. 21, 1944. He passed away Nov. 8, 1988. She was a homemaker and a member of United Pentecostal Church in Union City.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Bill Kehoe of Sharon; two sons, James E. Lewis of Union City and Robert Paul Lewis of Cuba, Mo.; her daughter-in-law, Denise Lewis of Clinton, Ky.; two  sisters, Farrah Campbell of Rutherford and Betty Jo McClure of Clinton; her brother, Edward Smith of Atlanta; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Thomas D. Lewis; three sisters, Ruth Howard, Anne Howard and Fannie Sue Gammons; four brothers, Harold Smith, Pete Smith, Granville Smith and Ardell Smith; her daughter-in-law, Melinda Lewis; and her great-grandchild.
