Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Friday at Fremont Cemetery near Union City, with Bobby Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Friday at White-Ranson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be John Cummings, Danny Storie, Steve Faulkner, Thomas Appleton, Jamie Suiter and Tim Smith. Honorary pallbearer will be Lonnie Grady.
He was born Nov. 19, 1928, in Hickman, Ky., son of the late Fred B. and Paralee Ward. He married the former Mary Nell Hudson Feb. 23, 1953. She survives. He was a dental technician for over 60 years and was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War. He was a member of Bishop Street Church of Christ.
He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Gina Carol Ward of Rives; his daughter, Lisa Carol Hampton of Knoxville; four granddaughters, Allison Kate Ward of Jackson, Rachel Ellis Ward of White House and Abby Gail Ware and Molly Rose Hampton, both of Knoxville; and four grandsons, Zachary Trey Ward of White House, Blaine Corbin Ward of Jackson and Warren Cy Ware and Charles Hudson Ware, both of Knoxville.
He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Wayne Hampton, Ph.D., of Knoxville.
