Vernelle Sturdivant

Services for Mrs. Sturdivant will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Kenton. Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sturdivant was born Jan. 15, 1925, to the late Tom and Amanda (Morgan) Cherry. She was retired from Sears and Roebuck Co., and was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.
Mrs. Sturdivant was preceded in death by her son, Mickey Sturdivant.
Mrs. Sturdivant is survived by her husband, Donnie Sturdivant; two sons and her daughter-in-law, Terry and Susie Sturdivant and Larry Sturdivant; three grandchildren, Lori Sturdivant, Mari Beth Casson and Tim Workman and his wife, Tabby; and two great-grandchildren.
