Billie Lawson

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Cryer Funeral Home in Obion, with the Rev. Jermey Terry officiating. Burial will follow in Minnick Cemetery in Obion County.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be B.J. Wyrick, Rodney Lawson, Michael Long, Josh Rickman, Brandon Rickman and Daniel Butler. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryan Wyrick, Jeff Rickman, Ryan Lawson, Matt Wallace, Lee Baggett and Jeremiah Johnson.
He was born July 9, 1930, in McEwen, son of the late A.F. and Ollie (Lane) Lawson. He was a concrete finisher and a member of New Faith Church in Obion. He was also a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred (Cook) Lawson; two sons, Tim Lawson of Halls and James Wyrick of Obion; two stepsons, James Rickman of Ridgely and Mark Rickman of Newbern; two daughters, Vickie Lynch of Ridgely and Mary Foggy of Obion; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Tom Lawson.
