JB Jennings

Funeral services were set for 10 a.m. today at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City, Ind. American Legion Post 169 was to perform military honors at Crown Hill Cemetery in Centerville, Ind.
The family requests that memorials be made to American Legion Post 169 or the veterans organization of the donor’s choice.
He was born to Evan and Stella (Workman) Jennings Oct. 20, 1948, in New Castle, Ind. He was a 1967 graduate of Lincoln High School in Cambridge City and lived in the area until moving to Tennessee in 2000.
JB was a U.S. Navy veteran, whose rank was Petty Officer 3rd Class and who served two tours in Vietnam. He was a member of the United Steelworkers Union and recently retired, after 14 years with Goodyear Tire in Union City.
JB was a member of Cambridge City American Legion Post 169 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4862 in Union City. He enjoyed NASCAR, football and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Kathy (Peden) Jennings; 10 children and their spouses, Eric and Shawn Jennings, Amy and Tim Parks, Jeremy Jennings, Nathan Jennings, Jeb Jennings, Hannah Jennings, Kim and Robert Robertson, Krista and Daryl Burke, Karin and Don Wilson and Travis Reynolds; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; his dad, Evan M. Jennings; his sister and brother-in-law, Sarah Jane and Jim Robinson; his brother and sister-in-law, Skip and Evey Jennings; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Stella M. Jennings; and his granddaughter, Kaitlynne Jennings.
