Willie Joe Brown

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. George Hutchison officiating.
The family will receive friends from noon until the hour of services Sunday at the funeral home.
He was born Dec. 14, 1930, in Obion County, son of the late Toy and Bessie (Smith) Owens. He married the former Maggie Marie James June 21, 1952. She passed away June 29, 2007. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for the City of Union City and was a Pentecostal.
He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Thornberry of Troy; two sons, Ronnie Owens of Martin and Donald Owens of Mount Pleasant; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters; eight brothers; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his brother.
