Novie Cochran
Novie Mae (Solmon) Cochran, 72, of Union City died Sept. 12, 2014, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Services were held 2 p.m. Sunday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Revs. Phillip Pinion and Judd Mowery officiating.
Burial followed in Sanders Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Garrett Ransom, Grant Ransom, Jamie Cochran, Harold Cochran, Keith Davidson and Chad Davidson.
She was born Feb. 25, 1942, in Obion County, daughter of the late Merrel and Evelyn (Mobbs) Solmon. She married Wayne Cochran Aug. 15, 1965. He survives. She was a housewife and a member of Sanders Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is also survived by two daughters, Cheryl Ransom of Troy and Janet Donahue of Carterville, lll.; two brothers, Lew Solmon of Troy and Paul Solmon of Saucier, Miss.; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
