Graveside services will be noon Saturday at Mount Pelia Cemetery near Rives, with the Rev. Lee Heskett officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time to go to the cemetery at White-Ranson Funeral Home.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Pergande, Jamie Heskett, Donnie Heskett, Brodie Parrish, Donovan Parrish, Teddy Hill, Fred Barton, Joe Mudd and Tony Wilkins.
She was born Sept. 19, 1943, in Chicago, daughter of the late Herbert Robert and Grace Irene (King) Steward. She married Robert Glen Sheffield Sept. 12, 1964. He died April 23, 1995. She was a homemaker and a member of Union City Baptist Temple.
She is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Joan Morris and Jean Johnson, both of Union City, and Jane and Mike Heskett and Jan and Terry Parrish, all of Troy; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Doreen Schmidt of Jacksonville, Fla.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Granzow.
