George McNeill

Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Troy First Baptist Church, with Tony Jones and Dr. Vann Kissell officiating. Burial will follow in Stovall Cemetery near Rives.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy is in charge of arrangements.
The family requests that memorials be made to Troy First Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be O’Neil Baker, Matt Wiggins, Perry Barfield, Elijah Casey, Jimmy Medlin, Terry Wharton and Steve Muse.
He was born June 21, 1943, in Troy, son of the late M.R. and Frances (Carmack) McNeill. He married the former Evelyn Jane Yarbrough June 1, 1990. She survives. He was a member of Troy First Baptist Church and Promise Keepers. He was also a member of Jones-Walker Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4862, American Legion and Tennessee State Troopers Association. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a retired criminal investigator for the State of Tennessee through the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
He is survived by his wife; his daughter and son-in-law, Mary Claire and Matt Wiggins of Sellers, S.C.; four sons and his daughter-in-law, Danny McNeill and Tommy McNeill, both of Nashville, Bobby Russell of Murfreesboro and Tim and Susana Pearson of the state of Washington; seven grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Vogler, Hunter Wiggins and Bailey Wiggins, all of Sellers, Elijah Casey of Murfreesboro, Savannah Pearson and Zoe Pearson, both of the state of Washington, and Justice Pearson of Obion; and two cousins and their spouses, Susie and Glen Miller of Venice, Fla., and Bill and Charmane McNeill of Clearwater, Fla.
