Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ebenezer Cemetery near Troy. Dr. Bobby Williams will officiate.
The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Pinion, Steve Pinion, Dave Davis, John Kerry Cook, Chad Norton and Jason Norton. John Davis will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Mr. Pinion was born May 23, 1937, in Obion County, son of the late Bernie and Lottie (Ragsdale) Pinion. He married the former Lauraette Myers Aug. 24, 1963. She died Sept. 22, 2004. Mr. Pinion was a retired employee for the State of Tennessee Highway Department, where he had been employed for 40 years. He was a member of Mount Ararat Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, James and Lori Pinion of South Fulton; his son-in-law, Bobby Allison of the Shawtown community; three grandchildren, Emily Morris and Cory Pinion, both of South Fulton, and Macy Allison of Shawtown; and his sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Johnny Cook of Union City.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jan Allison, who died on Aug. 12, 2014; two brothers, Vernell Pinion and David Gene Pinion; and four sisters, Mary Evelyn Pinion, Margaret Louise Pinion, Ella Mae Fulcher and Norma Dean Davis.
