Michael York

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Troy First Baptist Church, with Dr. Vann Kissell officiating. Burial will follow at a later date.
The family will receive friends from noon-2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Chapel of Angels Mortuary and Crematory in California was in charge of arrangements.
He was born May 24, 1949, in West Des Moines, Iowa, son of the late John and Alice York. He was the widower of Sherry York and was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Fulton.
He had been employed at Sta-Rite in Union City and at Huish Detergent in Dyersburg.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Clay and Kim York of Troy; his daughter, Caly York of Newbern; his granddaughter, Tori York of Martin; two grandsons, Brady York of Troy and Braylen Simpson of Newbern; his brother, Tom York of Union City; his sister, Pam Stotts of California; several nieces and nephews; and his loving partner, Roberta Browne of Grass Valley.
